With the TRACK tab open, there is a chord on staff GUI. The scale window in this GUI is ghosted. Why? Could the program show the scale being used to generate the melody with the current chord? Also, it would be slick to be able to specifiy (force) the melody to a modal theme vs having to rely on an auto generated melody. The converse would be to write the melody and have CHORDWIZARD determine mode/scale, which it may already do??? BTW, I was just moving between the TRACK GUI and mixer tab, w tune playing, and the program crashed. The program had been running about 5 minutes.

To activate the scale part of the staff in Track view you need to have a Scale track included in your song, and also have Song-Setup-Links-Scale Relations ticked. If you also have Show Scales ticked between the scales and melodic tracks you will see scale tones highlighted to help you build a compatible melody.
