Changing Clefs

Hi, hope someone can help me here. I'm trying to do some basic scale exercises for my guitar students.
I want to use Songtrix to help them learn to read notation. Here's the problem:-
1. C major - fine - no problem.
2. G major - had to lower the note range to get the G below middle C. Now everything in staff view is showing in the bass clef. I need the G to show below the staff in the Treble clef.
3. I see that the auto accompaniment notation in the rhythm track is written in the Treble Clef and has notes below middle C, so this should be possible in the melody track.
Anybody know how?
Also, in staff view the beaming of eighth notes is quite often incorrect:-
3 eighth notes beamed, a single eighth note, 2 quarter notes = one example that has cropped up so far.
At the bottom of Staff Window we can select display options. We may need to add extra higher notes, or else we are shown the Treble Clef for an octave lower. Do you have another solution?
Hi steve,
Sounds like you have (auto clef) selected, you can change this in the Staff Bar to force it to be a Treble Clef.
There are several rules in the beaming of eighth notes. If you are getting 3 beamed next to a single, this is probably either:
a) vertical height difference in notes too great to keep them all on a single beam
b) Compound time signature like 6/8 where the beam break naturally occurs between each set of triplets
